A new adventure! I have just started a six month sabbatical from work – it will be a fabulous time, but like many life changes it took a loss to bring it about. My father in law died late last year after suffering from motor neuron disease. He was a wonderful man and we all miss him. During his illness, and after his death, we struggled to keep up with all the things that we and my mother in law want and need to do. So facing that, and having our eyes opened to the fragility of life, we are now sacrificing some income for more important things.
I have many plans, many lists – and it all starts this week. Hopefully I have some interesting things to report!
Greytown. Ever heard of it? Well they are having an arts festival this weekend. It is a small place in the Wairarapa, New Zealand and it looks like they have some great art & craft on display. You can see some examples of painting, sculpture, clay works, jewellery and knitted craft items at their website.
I have no idea how the town got its name but the art & craft look anything but grey.
We found this excellent video clip made to advertise the NZ Book Council. It is a good example of some dedicated paper craft. Apparently it is all cut out paper, not computer generated.
