Hammered and twisted – not me, my new necklace made at an evening class!
Classes are fun, you have dedicated time to focus on your craft. At this class we were learning how to use wire in a different way in our beading. We twisted the copper wire into a nest and then threaded beads onto the wire and tied into the nest. We made petal shapes and hammered them flat and attached them to the nest. We hammered some more wire and then twisted that into spirals and attached those too. The result is very ‘free-form’ and each persons necklace was quite different depending on the beads and where they attached the hammered spirals and pendants, and if they attached another bead at the bottom like I have.
