Greytown. Ever heard of it? Well they are having an arts festival this weekend. It is a small place in the Wairarapa, New Zealand and it looks like they have some great art & craft on display. You can see some examples of painting, sculpture, clay works, jewellery and knitted craft items at their website.
I have no idea how the town got its name but the art & craft look anything but grey.
A great crafty experience today! Craft 2.0 in Christchurch – a fair of 40 craft exhibitors in one of Christchurch’s beautiful old buildings. It was a curated exhibition which resulted in a very high standard of craft available. There was a wide range of craft available including quite a lot of jewelerey that was a fraction of the price that similar items cost in some of the exclusive fashion shops. However after quickly falling for a brightly coloured recycled cardy my shopping budget was overspent so I was very restrained – well that is if you do not count the cardy.
